Seeing a void in men’s retail, Runyon created The Optimist, a men’s lifestyle concept celebrating the pioneering and easy going spirit of Los Angeles.
With an eye on quality, fit and detail, the store presents an independent edit of global style from a LA point of view - primarily clothing but also footwear, accessories, vintage timepieces and home objet. Many of the hand-selected brands have never before been sold in the US.
The team executed the project from the ground up - including brand, design, buying, marketing and management.
